Sunrise Homes Celebrates 50 Years of Area Homebuilding in 2008
Company to Participate in ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition†to be Filmed in New Orleans
SLIDELL, La --Sunrise Homes, a diversified land acquisition, development and construction company specializing in value oriented single and multi-family communities, celebrates 50 years of regional homebuilding this year. In recognizing this hallmark year, the company has agreed to participate in an upcoming episode of ABC television’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,†to be filmed in a New Orleans’ neighborhood March 6-7, 2008. The show will air at the end of the summer as the network’s season finale as a special two hour show. The show airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC (Ch 8).
Each episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is self-contained and features a race against time on a project that would ordinarily take at least four months to achieve, involving a team of designers, contractors and several hundred workers who have just seven days to totally rebuild an entire house -- every single room, plus the exterior and landscaping. The work is done free of charge to help families in need.
